Michaela Flatley
OWNER
Michaela Flatley founded Barley Creative in 2019, after graduating with her Masters in Fine Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in Baltimore. She has consulted for various nonprofit and for-profit organizations and has extensive experience designing marketing materials, logos, training resources, databases and websites. Before launching her freelance design career, Michaela worked at the Preservation of Affordable Housing (POAH) for six years.
In addition to her design work, Michaela founded the Baltimore Freelancers Collective (BFC), a community of local entrepreneurs. The BFC hosts events and offers online resources to help foster connection amongst Baltimore’s freelancers.
Michaela is also an accomplished fine artist and exhibits her paintings throughout the country. You can view her art here.
Michaela currently lives in Boston with her husband and daughter.
